The Failbetter Games acted as the stepping stone towards the development of Sunless Sea and Fallen London. These creations were able to attract several critics, but in the end, they became some of the most critical developments in the video gaming industry. Alexis Kennedy’s idea for Failbetter came to life in his Apartment, and his inspiration to name his Company was an inspiration from Samuel Becket’s quote.
According to Alexis Kennedy, the video gaming industry is becoming monopolized in terms of the content they offer their clients. To him, video game developers need to introduce more mind-cutting challenges to their players, and that is part of the reason why they have co-created the Weather Forecast project with Lottie Bevan.
