JD Offers London Fashion Week Through Digital Format

In a recent JD.com’s blog, “Delivering the Future of Shopping”, showcases not only the innovations that enable China’s largest retailer to deliver to customers at staggering speeds all across China via its nationwide logistics network, but also features the latest retail technology, which JD is using to empower other partners, online or offline.

JD.com is currently in negotiations with the British Fashion Council in order to launch London Fashion Week through digital format in China. London Fashion Week will be held in September of 2020 for five days from the 17th to the 22nd of the month. There will be both digital and physical events taking place. The recent effort to hold London Fashion Week is part of an initiative to establish a partnership between JD of Jingdong and London Fashion Week.

As of today, JD.com will now become the official digital hub for London Fashion Week. It will become the main digital platform for the event. This recent event will serve as a way for JD of Jingdong to market some of the most popular products showcased at London Fashion Week.

All of the content on the digital platform will be free of charge according to JD. All of the designers who are looking to market their new products will have all of their content launched on the platform as the event is being held. Read This Article for more information.

Some of the brands that will be showcased at the event will include Christopher Kane, Erdem, Westwood and Vivienne. While the event is being held, customers will be able to shop and purchase the products.

Kevin Jong of JD.com recently made a statement about the latest event. He said that many fashion brands and events have been looking to use digital broadcasts in order to market their products. This change has been in response to the recent COVID 19 pandemics.

Since the start of 2020, JD has welcomed numerous brands to be launched at its stores all over China. This new event will also help JD of Jingdong expand their presence on the internet as well. The executive at JD has also said that the company is very pleased to further develop its partnership with the British Fashion Council in order to help introduce the latest fashion brands to Chinese consumers.
