Paula Wallace’s efforts have resulted in a uniquely successful art and design institution with more than 100-degree programs offered on four different campuses.

SCAD students are currently recruited by leading companies such as Apple, BMW, Google, Pixar, Samsung, and Uber. When SCAD design students started to collaborate with organizations to invent new products, SCADpro emerged. Partnering with Kicker Car Audio in an effort to design their European lineup, with VTech creating new children’s product lines, and JCB creating an all new backhoe interior, gave SCAD students the benefit of an opportunity to work with a real client on a real project. Paula Wallace SCAD hosts festivities and events to connect the students to their chosen professions, and to emphasize the importance of honoring those professions and their predecessors. Prominent professionals visit SCAD bringing preeminent knowledge to these events to teach on subjects such as art, film-making, writing, and designing through lectures and masterclasses.
