Larry Baer SF Giants CEO On When They Could Welcome Fans Back To Oracle Park
SF Giants CEO, Larry Baer, plans on possibly welcoming fans back to Oracle Park sometime in 2021, preferably during the opener. However, it is entirely up to the medical professionals and the state of San Francisco, California to determine whether they can do so.
The Giants CEO confirms it is up to them but believes it can be done correctly. He also confirmed they have a six-figure budget in place to make it all happen. The MLB team has been following the developments of the virus since its start to determine what is next. Giants CEO Larry Baer described things are getting better but protocols need to be strictly followed if they do open during the start of the season in April.
The Giants CEO addressed fans in a letter summarizing the development of the vaccine and how they will welcome more fans as it becomes more available to the public. He also outlined the measures that will be put into place to keep everyone safe when they do open the stadium and allow fans to attend.
Some of these rules include testing for all staff, the use of a health screening app, and advanced sanitation practices. Normal procedures will be having to wear masks and social distancing while in the stadium. Customers will be able to buy food but through an app.
As follows, the Giants CEO agrees they will not open up to full capacity. Season-ticket holders, on the other hand, will have more options to pick which games to attend. The SF Giants season is set to kick off on April 1 with an opening game at home on April 9. The SF Giants CEO believes it is still unclear whether they will be able to have fans in attendance for these two games. Larry Baer states it is too soon to tell but believes they will get an answer in due time. See This Article for additional information.
