Gordonstoun a Public School With Royal Ties
Gordonstoun is a prestigious public school that is famous for educating British royals.
The school taught many royals, including Prince Phillip, Prince Charles, Zara Phillips, and others. The nonacademically driven school is often compared with Eton School.
Gordonstoun is more concerned with developing the individual personality than just academics. Eton School has remained an all boys school since it began in the 15th century.
Gordonstoun was established in Scotland in the 17th century. The public school was an all boys school until it became a co-educational school in 1972.
Gordonstoun teaches 150 day school students and almost 400 boarding students.
Gordonstoun School provides a very balanced curriculum to meet the personal, academic, and physical activity needs of the students in the junior and senior high school levels, who are 13 to 18 years of age.
Students come from all ethic backgrounds, including Buddhists, Judaism, Islamic, Hindu, Roman Catholic, and others.
The public school accepts students from different economical backgrounds. Over 35 percent of students receive financial aid.

About 96 percent of all Gordonstoun graduate to on to colleges; some students graduate to study at ivy league institutions. However, academics is not one of Gordonstoun’s strong suits.
On the negative side, the tuition fees are high, low academic concentation, and the school is geographically remote.
On the plus side, Gordonstoun lets a child be what he or she is meant to be instead of trying to comply to the school’s standards.
The school teaches recommended school subjects like math, reading languages, history, etc. Gordonstoun students can get involved in music, sports, the arts, and more.
It doesn’t matter whether a student is academically challenged or academically enriched. The school also has indoor and outdoor educational settings.
