Larry Baer, SF Giant CEO, Set To Reopen The Park
When Covid-19 erupted, most business sectors were affected. Ball games were also affected to the extent of shutting down games. With the recent discovery of the vaccine, businesses are going back to normal. Larry Baer, SF Giants CEO, recently announced the reopening of the ballpark. The SF Giants fans are anxiously looking forward to a speculated reopening of Oracle Park before the beginning of the 2021 MLB season.
According to the SF Giant CEO, the determiners park’s reopening is health officials. He assured the fans that he has no intention to lobby for anything, and the team is ready to cooperate with the health experts since he knows 2021 will be a year of transition.
The Giants CEO confirmed that the team had made necessary preparations to reopen Oracle Park. He stated that they have set aside a 7-figure budget to renovate the stadium according to Covid-19 guidelines. Baer assured the fans, the club is ready to incorporate the maximum safety precautions for the stadium attendees, and they will review any latest developments concerning Covid-19.
Larry Baer listed some of the safety measures that the club is taking to speed up making the fanbase safe for fans. He said that the Giants have already earned accreditation for sanitation practices from the GBAC. Testing all staff has started, and they have come up with a screening app to be used by anyone entering the park.
Baer added that wearing face masks and social distancing will be mandatory in all areas of the park. Entering and exiting the park will be done in an orderly manner. Limiting seating capacity is another measure the team is taking to encourage social distancing, where some fans holding certain ticket numbers will be required to change seats on some occasions.
The San Francisco Giants is set to open 2021 season, with its game scheduled against Seattle Mariners, planned to take place at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on 1st April. They are also planning to hold a home game on 9th April against the Rockies at Oracle Park. The SF Giant CEO is yet to confirm whether they will be allowed to attend the matches.
