Betsy DeVos’ Eduction Beliefs
Betsy DeVos has carved a name for herself within the government. With a quiet disposition, Ms. DeVos fights for what she believes in. Paving the way for students of all ages to receive the educations that they deserve. Persistence has been a cornerstone in Ms. DeVos advocating for what she believes is right. There has been little waver in her convictions, a loud voice in advocating for students. She has been what the school departments all over the United States have needed.
Growing up in Michigan, Betsy DeVos is a hard worker who fights for what she stands for. She has proved herself time and time again that she will fight for her ideals and convictions regardless of who she might be up against.
With a strong belief that Charter schools are one of the strongest fundamentals for the future, Ms. DeVos largely set firm ground in aiding further funding. She has campaigned for underperforming charter schools to have better funding.
One of the areas that have largely benefitted from having Ms. DeVos in office is the Detroit school system. Detroit has the largest columniation of charter schools that haven’t seen the funding that they deserve. Last year, Ms. DeVos blocked a bill that would have taken away more funding to these already underfunded schools. This decision gave many schools the opportunity to continue providing their students with a good education.
Ms. DeVos has worked to prove that though the United States may have good public schools, many of the public schools do not perform half as well as those in other developed countries. The public school system leaves many students to fend for themselves due to their lack of funding and focus. Some of these public schools are not ever going to function the way that many of their students would best benefit from.
While some may look at Betsy DeVos as though her ideas are out of reach and incorrect, she has the best interest of the students in mind. As a republican and a scholar, Ms. DeVos has seen many of the problems that the public school system provides. Her avocation for private schooling and charter schools are only to provide students with the most successful education possible. To instill a correct learning structure in children in schools, Ms. DeVos has dedicated her time to see that all students have a proper education.
Betsy DeVos will continue to provide students with better educational opportunities.
