Bronco Billy is a play set in 1979 but has been recast as a musical by Chip Rosenbloom. In the story, Billy is a modern-day cowboy who is the owner of a traveling Wild West show. The company is struggling, and it is becoming harder and harder for Billy to pay his employees a bank teller, former nurse, car thief, wife, and Native American. The tale is both humorous and inspiring, giving the viewers hope in their dreams even when it seems impossible that they may come true.

Billy’s Wild West Company cannot make profits or even get a good audience. However, Billy convinces his staff to push forward and stay with the company. Five years on, Billy has a strained relationship with his counterparts. The musical plot is maintained throughout, incorporating debates on civil rights, partisan politics, and the emergence of new technology.

As the musical progress’, Billy’s love story begins anew as he meets Antoinette Lily at a gas station. She is a lady from Manhattan who ran away from home to escape her husband, family lawyer, a hired hitman, and estranged stepmother.

Antoinette is to inherit the family’s chocolate company as well as a billion-dollar fortune. However, she had to wait for 30 days before the inheritance could pass to her, at which point she might be dead. Lily agrees to join the company as Billy’s assistant with whom she later falls in love. The musical is suitable for all ages and is truly a masterpiece.
