Digital Learning With ClassDojo Is The Future

Schoolteachers in England faced a problem as Covid-19 forced closures of their schools – how best to connect with their students? The answer was an educational technology (ed tech) program known as ClassDojo. With it, the teachers could ensure that every student was receiving the education they needed and that every parent could be kept in contact with.

England isn’t the only country where people are turning to ed tech to keep the wheels of education turning. In New York, governor Andrew Cuomo questioned whether classrooms in their physical form were a necessity at all, and announced that former Google CEO Eric Schmidt and Bill Gates would help to reimagine education in the state. They did so by utilizing platforms like Google Classroom and ClassDojo.

Microsoft recently published an article titled Education Reimagined that focuses on the potential for ed tech to transform learning in the post-Covid world. It states that “Global investment of venture capital in edtech more than doubled from $7bn in 2019 to a record $16.1bn in 2020.” Thus, the pandemic has been a great opportunity for schools to expand their use of these technologies like ClassDojo to provide a better learning environment for their students. Teachers are able to connect on a deeper level with their classes and tailor their feedback for each student.

Not only is ed tech a boon for teachers, it also helps the students as well. When one student has a problem, others are able to chime in to help them out. Teachers have also found that incorporating ed tech into learning has improved the connection with parents. All this leads to a promising future where ed tech reshapes the learning environment.
