However, just before the founders gave up and closed the company, Alejandro Betancourt stepped in and offered to finance the company.
By the time Alejandro Betancourt took over at the helm of the eyewear firm, it had different products in the market. However, some of them were not capable of competing with products from their competitors. Alejandro’s first mission was to create unique products that would make the company stand out from other firms manufacturing similar products.

That enabled them to manufacture unique sunglasses that were different from other products in the market. Their sunglasses were colorful, they had different lenses, and they were eco-friendly.
Alejandro Betancourt became the president of the company towards the end of the year that he joined Hawkers. When he assumed the presidency, he helped the company expand its client base in Spain and other European countries. Betancourt later increased his funding to the company, which raised his controlling interest to 50%.
