Jason Hughes: The Successes of an American Businessman
Jason Hughes is a successful businessman and entrepreneur. Born in California, he grew up with entrepreneurial spirit and had an early interest in business. He attended the University of Southern California for his undergraduate degree, graduating with honors and receiving a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Business Administration: Marketing from USC Marshall School of Business.
After that, he continued on to receive his MBA from Harvard Business School before starting out on the path to becoming the CEO, Chairman, and owner of Hughes Marino. Currently led by Jason Hughes, Hughes Marino is a real estate brokerage company that was started in the 1930s by Joseph Marino. Since then, it has been successfully run as a family business for seven generations with the latest being Jason Hughes’ sister, who currently serves as COO.
In addition to his professional career as an entrepreneur and businessman, Hughes is also very active in civic duty by being on several committees around Los Angeles. Currently, he is serving on the Warner Center 2035 Plan Community Advisory Committee which seeks to create a long-term development plan for the area where Hughes Marino has offices (LinkedIn).
After all of his success in business and civic duty, the visionary businessman then decided that it was time to move into politics. He saw that in order to bring his vision for the government, he needed to run himself. He is currently running for California’s 54th Assembly District House Seat against Incumbent Democrat Jacqui Irwin. Hughes hopes to continue to greatly impact the lives of Californians by changing politics and creating more opportunities.
