John Lasseter Continues Career with Skydance Animation
Legendary animator John Lasseter has worked with every great animation studio in America, and now he lends his talents to Skydance Animation, where he heads production. Lasseter has worked on some of the most popular and critically acclaimed animated films of all time. The Fox and the Hound, The Lion King, and Toy Story are just a few of the titles he’s worked on.

The Fox and the Hound was the first film he worked on for Disney. This classic film is all about two unlikely friends fighting against adversity to save their friendship. Copper and Tod, a hound dog and a fox, stay friends despite Coppers instinctual nature urging him to hunt foxes.

John Lesseter didn’t work on the primary version of The Lion King, but he did work on the 3D version. The movie was recently re-released in theaters and generated $191 million, making it the highest grossing film in 2019. The film is about a young lion cub who loses his father, meets new friends, and eventually becomes king.
Toy Story is about a group of toys that become alive when humans aren’t around. The movie deals with the feelings of a cowboy doll as he feels like he’s being replaced by newer toys. The film has spawned three sequels.
