Larry Baer SF Giants CEO, Leading The Baseball Club To Success
A native of San Francisco, Larry Baer, is a prominent leader in the sports industry in the United States. Bear is the President and CEO of SF Giants and has contributed immensely to the baseball team’s success. Before rising to the rank of CEO, he was the chief operating officer for over a decade.
During his tenure as CEO, SF Giants have won the World Series Championship multiple times, and the team continues to thrive under his leadership. As the Giants CEO, Baer is in charge of day to day running of the team. Besides making the major financial decisions and negotiations for the club, Larry Baer is involved in selecting and signing talented players.
The SF Giants CEO strategic leadership influenced the ultra-modern AT &T Park construction, the first baseball park to ever be privately funded. Through the park, the club has been able to increase the capacity of the fans and has been recognized for attaining the highest number of attendees for eight consecutive years. With the ballpark hosting some of the major special events in the country, the club has advanced its revenue generation through the sale of tickets. With Larry Bear at the helm, SF Giants has sold out its tickets from 2011 to 2017.
SF Giants CEO Baer is the chairman and CEO of the Giants Development Services, tasked with developing Mission Rock. The Mission Rock encompasses multiple acres of parks and open space, office spaces, residential units, restaurants, retail, public amenities and a parking structure.
Giants CEO Larry Baer serves as a board member to numerous organizations such as the Major League Baseball’s Business and Media Board of Directors, KQED, the Bay Area Council and NBC Sports Bay Area.
