Samsung Biologics CEO Helps Make an Impact In the Technology World
Dr. Tae Han Kim is the Samsung Biologics CEO. He started his career almost four decades ago with Samsung. Kim worked from the ground up and eventually earned the highest leadership roles throughout Samsung. Dr. Kim has the expertise and vision to continue positioning Samsung Biologics to the front of the technology and manufacturing sectors. The Samsung Biologics CEO has a background in science and math which prepared him to work at Samsung Biologics as a CDMO. He received his degree from the University of Texas and earned a master’s in chemical engineering in 1986. Two years later, Kim earned a doctoral degree in chemical engineering.
Since it was founded in 2011, Samsun BiLogics has grown rapidly. Dr. Kim had a hand in making the South Korean contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) especially successful but assisting in building larger facilities with more technological features. Dr. Kim has had a hand is building the company’s 180,000L “Dream Plant.” This facility is the largest of its kind and puts Samsung BioLogics in the running to become the largest contract manufacturer in the world.
This facility brings together the knowledge the Samsung BioLogics gained along with the experience of its parent company to improving production and design for other industries. The staff at Samsung BiLogics is working to ensure that the organization will soon become a forerunner biologics manufacturing and Dr. Kim has played a huge role in making this happen.
