Sudhir Choudhrie grew up as a privileged child in India; however, he also has had to deal with his fair share of tragedies in his long career. Although he was born to a wealthy family, his father passed away when Sudhir Choudhrie was only 4 years old. Since then, he has devoted his life to investing his wealth in a responsible way. As of now, his work as philanthropist and entrepreneur has taken him to cities such as London and New York. He is regarded as a prolific businessman that has made many successes around the world. He established The Choudhrie Family Foundation, a charity fund which helps support medical, health, and educational facilities. This foundation also promotes people to sign up as organ donors, which is understandable based on health issues that he has suffered.
Beyond his familial troubles, Sudhir Choudhrie also suffers from a chronic heart issue that has plagued him since he was a young child. This heart malfunction eventually forced him to undergo a heart transplant, which is extremely dangerous for patients. Amazingly, he went on to become one of the oldest people to live with a transplanted heart. By staving off of alcohol and other vices, he has been able to set an example of health that has allowed him to continue working into middle age. He passed down his top knowledge of business to his two sons, who are both successful entrepreneurs in their own right.
Whether he’s working out of London or New Delhi, Sudhir Choudhrie continues to pursue his personal passions alongside his business ventures. He owns one of the largest collections of vintage German cars in India as well as a massive collection of classic Indian art. The businesses and foundations that he has created continue to benefit cities all across the world. His family taught him from a young age that people with wealth should use their power to help those that are not as fortunate. Luckily, he has taken this advice to heart and devoted a large chunk of his career to noble causes.
