Peter Briger is the co-CEO of San Francisco’s Fortress Investment Division and is primarily in charge of the credit and real estate business. e spent 15 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co before joining the Fortress Investment Group in 2002, where he became a partner in 1996.

Most of his investments are made in Europe, specifically in Italy, where he has many properties. One of the key factors in determining the yield is the duration of the economic boom in the respective countries. Other contributing factors are political stability and growth of tourism, banking, technological development, the quality of life index, and the quality of living index, among others. According to Business Week, Peter Briger prefers to make investments in European stocks rather than bonds. In the past, he has made investments in businesses such as the Holiday Inn Express and the San Berdoo Country Club. However, with the financial crisis that took place a few years back, Briger became more cautious about putting his money in stocks and instead concentrated his efforts on the real estate sector. As of the present, he has no other major portfolio apart from the ones mentioned above.
