Throughout this time, companies need to be cautious about having employees return to work. This is something that Young Living understood when it decided to let employees from its US-based headquarters work from home throughout the remainder of 2020. Here’s how this decision helped Young Living, a leader in the world of essential oils. As most companies did, the struggle with what to do in the wake of COVID-19 began for Young Living in March. By March 13th, this company decided to have its employees working from Lehi, Utah to start working from home.

Since this time, there have been noticeable improvements from this company. These improvements include a 25% productivity increase throughout Young Living’s IT department and a 13% productivity increase for sales staff. But this company didn’t stop there. Young Living has also taken a series of steps to help its workers remain healthy and connected during this uncertain time through the YL Alert App. For the remainder of 2020, this company’s remote working staff and their families will have free access to remote fitness online classes. The children of employees will also have access to resources for therapy and counseling.

Many employees are working from home for the first time. Considering that, these individuals might not have the necessary equipment they need to work remotely. Fortunately, this company is providing laptops and headsets to any remote employees who need them. Also, this business has hired staff specifically for managing and strengthening Young Living remote work teams. At first, this wasn’t something that this company’s COO was unsure of. However, after seeing the success of his remote workers, Jared Turner now believes that the future looks even bright for Young Living Essential Oils Company going forward. It’s also going to provide a major improvement for the environment. By having its employees work remotely, by the end of the year, it will reduce over 3 million pounds of carbon emissions.
